School of Inclusive & Special Needs Education

Mberimana Emmanuel (Master of Education in Special Needs Education) graduated from University of Rwanda College of Education (Rwanda) in August 2019. In addition to the Continuous Professional Development Diploma in Special Needs Education, awarded 2012 from University of Rwanda College of Education former Kigali Institute of Education (KIE). He is doing Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education awarded at the University of Rwanda College of Education, Rukara campus (2022).

During primary schools, secondary and undergraduate school levels he usually studied together with learners with disabilities and he was interested in assisting them. Within that experience, Mberimana Emmanuel joined the University of Rwanda College of Education (URCE) former (KIE) in 2008 as an Administrative staff where he served different activities in the Resource Room to assist students with special educational needs and he was trained in different trainings on how to cater for persons with disabilities.

From 2019 to February 2020 was working as academic staff (Tutorial Assistant) and March 2020 promoted to Assistant Lecturer, where he taught different lessons related to the persons with special educational needs. He contributed more in administrative activities of the school of Inclusive and Special Needs Education related to the programme reviews and assisting students with special educational needs in the Resource Room of the University of Rwanda College Rukara and Nyagatare campuses. He also assisted many student-teachers to write academic reports and portfolios. In the community outreach, he contributed more with different stakeholders.
