Dr. Jean de Dieu Habiyaremye is a Lecturer in Biology at the University of Rwanda - College of Education. He holds a PhD in Biology with a specialization in Molecular Ecology from Leipzig University (Leipzig, Germany), a Master's Degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the Pan African University (Nairobi, Kenya), a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCLTHE) from the University of Rwanda (Kigali, Rwanda), and a Bachelor's Degree in Science with Education (Biology-Chemistry-Education) from the former Kigali Institute of Education (Kigali, Rwanda).

Academic Background :
Jean Uwamahoro (PhD) obtained a BSc degree in Physics and Chemistry with Education in 2004 from the former Kigali Institute of Education (KIE), now the University of Rwanda, College of Education (UR-CE). He earned a BSc Honors degree in Astrophysics and Space Science from the University of Cape Town in 2006, followed by an MSc (2009) and PhD (2012) in Space Physics from Rhodes University, South Africa.

Professional Background :
Prof. Uwamahoro has been an academic staff member and researcher at the University of Rwanda since 2005 and is currently a Full Professor of Physics and Science Education. He also holds the administrative position of Deputy Director of the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS), hosted at UR-CE.

Academic Duties :

Teaching undergraduate and Master's-level physics courses.
Supervising postgraduate students at both Master's and PhD levels.
Leading and managing various funded research projects as a Principal Investigator.
Participating in UR and international committees for organizing conferences and training workshops.

Research and Contributions :
Prof. Uwamahoro has led initiatives to establish research collaborations and networks under signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the University of Rwanda and local, regional, and international institutions.

Space Physics, specifically modeling and predicting Solar-Terrestrial Interaction phenomena (Space Weather).
STEM Education Research.

Academic and Professional Background :
Mr. Munyabugingo Valens is an Assistant Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Rwanda, College of Education, School of Education, in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Physical Education. He joined the University of Rwanda on June 19, 2023.

Previously, Mr. Munyabugingo served as an Assistant Lecturer in Mathematics at Rwanda Polytechnic - IPRC Ngoma from March 1, 2019, to June 19, 2023. During his tenure there, he also held the role of Research Coordinator and contributed as a member of the research group for the Biogas Monitoring System project, funded by the National Council for Science and Technology (NCST). Additionally, he taught mathematics in various secondary schools and higher learning institutions, including PIASS and UTAB.

Mr. Munyabugingo holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics, specializing in Statistical Modeling and Actuarial Sciences, from the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology, which he completed in 2018. Since 2020, he has been pursuing a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology.

Research Interests and Activities :
Mr. Munyabugingo specializes in applied mathematics, with a focus on the asymptotic analysis of partial differential equations and their numerical simulations. Since 2021, he has been an active member of the International Program for Mathematics Science - Partial Differential Equations and Applications (IPMS-PDEAAP) research group.

He has also participated in international summer schools, including one on Modern Functional Analysis in Kenya (2017) and another on Concrete Topics in Mathematics in Rwanda (2022).

Biography
Esdras Kayiranga is a Tutorial Assistant at the University of Rwanda - College of Education, where he is passionate about enhancing teaching and learning through the power of Performing Arts. Esdras started his journey in Drama Education, focusing on the integration of performing arts in learning. His vision is to inspire the use of arts as a primary tool for effective education across diverse educational contexts.

Mariane Uwamariya is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Rwanda - College of Education (UR-CE). Dr. Mujyambere Jean Marie Vianney is a distinguished academic with expertise in chemical engineering and education. He joined the University of Rwanda – College of Education in August 2021 as a Lecturer of Integrated Sciences. Dr. Jean Marie Vianney Ngororabanga is a lecturer in Chemistry at the University of Rwanda - College of Education. He holds a PhD in Chemistry (Organic and Polymer Chemistry) from Nelson Mandela University, where he also completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees with honors in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

Following his PhD, Dr. Ngororabanga worked as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at Nelson Mandela University's Chemistry Department from 2017 to 2020. His postdoctoral research focused on developing macromolecular scaffolds for the recognition of thiosulfate complexes of gold (III) and their application in gold extraction.
