Reference is made to the Internal Advertisement of University of Rwanda-College of Education (UR-CE) dated 10th September 2025 on “ERASMUS+ STUDENT MOBILITY AT UNIVERSITY OF HELSINKI AND TAMPERE UNIVERSITY / FINLAND” as to part of capacity building related activities of the “Higher Education Pedagogies for Teacher Education - HEP-TED” project, applications were received and interviews conducted accordingly.

The management of University of Rwanda-College of Education (UR-CE) wishes to inform its
academic staff that aligned with the existing collaboration with the Finnish HEIs to enrich the
activities of the "Higher Education Pedagogies for Teacher Education - HEP-TED" project,
the University of Helsinki and Tampere University will offer a six (6) month mobility to two (2)
PhD candidates in both institutions. This inter-institutional Mobility between University of
Helsinki, Tampere University and University of Rwanda is under Erasmus+ Student Mobility Program.

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING OPEN APPLICATIONS FOR IN-SERVICE TEACHERS RECOMMENDED BY REB FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AT UR-CE FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-2026

The University of Rwanda – College of Education (UR-CE), in partnership with the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB), has opened applications for 300 in-service teachers selected to upgrade their qualifications in the 2025–2026 academic year.

Applications run from 25th August to 1st September 2025. Candidates must submit certified academic documents, a copy of their national ID, and proof of payment of a non-refundable 5,000 RWF application fee. A1 diploma holders provide certificates and transcripts, while A2 holders submit results slips or A-Level certificates, depending on the year of completion.

The process begins online through the UR admission portal to generate a student reference number and PIN. Documents are then submitted physically at UR Rukara Campus, where applicants complete a hard-copy form. Teachers who previously applied but did not register can finalize their applications using their existing reference numbers.
