Rwanda Quality Basic Education for Human Capita Development (RQBEHCD) is a World Bank funded

Project that is being implemented by the government of Rwanda through the Ministry of Education and Rwanda Basic Education Board.

The implementation of its sub-component 1.2 (Support professional development of mathematics and science teachers) is led by the University of Rwanda-College of Education (UR-CE) through the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS) in partnership with the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB). 

The project implementation started in 2019 with the development of modernized tools and it continued with training of Mathematics and Science teachers/tutors from 16 TTCs, 16 model schools and 30 Mathematics and Science for Sub-Saharan Africa (MS4SSA) as pilot schools in Innovative Teaching Methods for Mathematics and Science.
