STEM BootCamp for Secondary School Students

Teachers from 16 Model Schools, 16 TTCs and 30 MS4SSA schools were trained by using 16 developed modules/projects.

These teachers were equipped with the skills to use projects in teaching science and mathematics to help students develop knowledge and skills that are need to solve to real-world problems or scenarios which make their learning more meaningful in return.

The project organized a Boot camp for 127 best-performer students from TTCs and Model schools to help them develop skills and competences in STEM subjects through PBL. The boot camp was grounded on four pillars that were: hands-on activities, Inspire Me talks, visits to the industries, and science competitions.

These key aspects of the boot camp helped to foster students' critical thinking, creativity, teamwork skills, and the culture of competition and ignited the students' interest in STEM subjects.
