Dr. Gabriel Nizeyimana (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer of Education at the University of Rwanda-College of Education. He has taught at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. He has 22 years of teaching experience at university level. His research work focuses on student engagement in teacher education, study strategies, assessment, and teacher beliefs. He has authored and co-authored many articles published in national and international peer reviewed accreditedjournals. He is also a member of UNESCO Chair Forum in Teacher Education for Diversity and Development at Wits University, Johannesburg.
He obtained his PhD degree in Education (Teacher Education) from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (South Africa)in 2013. He has a Masters degree in Education (Curriculum Development) obtained from University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg (South Africa)in 2003. He has got his Bachelor (Honours) degree in Education Sciences (School Psychology) from National University of Rwanda in 1992 and a Bachelors degree in Education Sciences (Psychopedagogy) from National University of Rwanda, obtained in 1989.
