PROFILE OF DR.EMMANUEL AHIMANA

Dr Emmanuel Ahimana holds a PhD in French and African and French Comparative Literature. He is serving as Head of Humanities and Language Education Department at the University of Rwanda/College of Education (from 1st December 2014 up to now). Ahimana is also the Regional Coordinator of Sembura Ferment littéraire, a Platform of Writers and Academicians in African Great Lakes Region which promotes the Teaching/Learning of Languages and Literature in the Region. As researcher, he has contributed to the development/review of several Primary and Secondary Programmes/Curricula based on CBC but also of higher learning institutions (UR-CE & UTAB).

In collaboration with other authors, he published two anthologies Pour une culture de paix dans la region des Grands Lacs Africains (2014) and Convergences, positive l’autre (2017).He publishedalsosome articles such as « La représentation de l’inceste à travers les Romans de Tchicaya U’Tam’si » (2008) ;« Violences extrêmes dans le roman négro-africain francophone. Des mots pour le dire » (2012) ;« Enseignement de la langue et de la littérature dans les institutions supérieures du Rwanda.
