Nsengimana Venuste is a Doctor in “Sciences Agronomiques et Ingénierie Biologique” (Agronomy and Bio-Engineering) from the University of Liège, Gembloux Agro Bio-Tech, Belgium. In addition to the Bachelor’s degree in Education (Biology) awarded by the former National University of Rwanda (NUR).
Nsengimana has a Master of Science in Biodiversity Conservation from the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology (UR-CST) ; and a Postgraduate certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from the University of Rwanda, College of Education (UR-CE).
Nsengimana serves the University of Rwanda as a Lecturer of Biology, and a mentor of Bachelor, Master and PhD students in Biology - Education. Nsengimana is also an Associate Researcher in the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science based in the University of Rwanda, College of Education (ACEITLMS, UR-CE), and serves as affiliate researcher in the Centre of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resources Management based in the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology (CoEB, UR-CST).
Further, Nsengimana is an affiliate researcher to the African Research Universities Alliance Water Centre of Excellence (ARUA Water CoE) based at Rhodes University, South Africa, and the Alumni of the Global Taxonomy Initiative (GTI) within the framework of Capacities for Biodiversity and Sustainable Development (CEBioS) based at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS), Belgium. The area of research of Nsengimana is Ecology and Conservation Biology, and STEM- Education.
