Mayor of Kayonza District, Mr. Jean Bosco Nyemazi, addressing the Intagamburuzwa during the “Kwinjiza Intore mu Zindi” ceremony at UR Rukara Campus.

‎‎The Mayor of Kayonza District, Mr. Jean Bosco Nyemazi, delivered an inspiring message to the newly integrated Intagamburuzwa during the Kwinjiza Intore mu Zindi ceremony held on November 7, 2025 at the University of Rwanda – College of Education (UR-CE), Rukara Campus.

‎He opened his address by reflecting on the essence of the ceremony, explaining that “Kwinjiza Intore mu Zindi” symbolizes a transition — a call to become exemplary students and responsible citizens who love their country and are ready to serve it with dedication and integrity.

‎He encouraged the students to uphold discipline and strive for excellence in both academics and character, reminding them that the knowledge and skills they acquire should ultimately contribute to the development of their nation, families, and themselves.
‎“You should grow into good leaders,” he said. “Good teachers are good leaders, and among you, we see future leaders in all walks of life.”

‎The Mayor emphasized that reaching such heights requires humility, openness to learning, and a firm commitment to continuous self-improvement.
‎“You have already been trained, but there is still more to learn,” he noted. “Study diligently and make the best use of the opportunities provided under the good leadership of our country.”

‎As part of the ceremony, the Mayor officially endorsed the performance contracts of the Intagamburuzwa, a symbolic act affirming their commitment to uphold the values and responsibilities expected of them. During the session, the Head of Intagamburuzwa signed the performance contract on behalf of the students, in the presence of Mayor Jean Bosco Nyemazi and UR-CE Principal Prof. Florien Nsanganwimana, who jointly endorsed it as a mark of shared commitment to nurturing disciplined, patriotic, and value-driven graduates.

‎He further encouraged the students to strengthen their collaboration with local government institutions — a partnership already exemplified by UR-CE’s ongoing cooperation with Kayonza District, Gahini Sector, and other administrative entities.

‎In closing, Mr. Nyemazi urged the Intagamburuzwa to embody the spirit of Ubutore, grounded in discipline, patriotism, and integrity, while also taking pride in using the Kinyarwanda language correctly as a mark of cultural identity and national unity.
