Kayonza, November 8, 2025 — Professor Florien Nsanganwimana, Principal of the University of Rwanda–College of Education (UR-CE), has urged first-year students newly integrated into the UR Rukara Campus community as Intagamburuzwa to uphold academic excellence, discipline, and integrity as they embark on their university journey.
He made the remarks during the “Kwinjiza Intore mu Zindi” ceremony, held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at UR Rukara Campus, marking the official completion of the Induction Program for 1,334 newly integrated Intagamburuzwa.
Prof. Nsanganwimana congratulated the students for successfully completing the induction and officially joining the UR-CE community — a community, he said, “deeply committed to excellence in teaching, learning, and service.”
He reminded the students of the institution’s core values, including academic honesty, freedom of inquiry, innovation, social justice, mutual respect, and empathy. “I urge you to live the values of our institution,” he said. “Be curious as you learn, seek knowledge beyond the classroom, and take full ownership of your learning.”
Newly inducted students officially recognized as fully trained Intore, ready to serve and lead with excellence.
The Principal underscored the importance of self-discipline and responsibility, defining discipline as “doing the right things in the right place.”He urged students to manage their time wisely, pursue their goals with determination, and uphold ethical conduct in all aspects of academic life.
“Success at our university is built on consistency, collaboration, and character,” he emphasized, encouraging students to seek guidance from lecturers, mentors, and peers whenever they face challenges.
Reaffirming the College’s mission, Prof. Nsanganwimana said UR-CE is committed to nurturing talent and preparing students to become educators and leaders who will make a lasting impact on society. “A teacher should first be an educator,” he said. “Train yourself to become an educator and a leader who contributes to the growth and development of the education sector.”
As part of the ceremony, the Principal presented Certificates of Recognition to student leaders who played a key role in organizing and supporting the induction program, commending their leadership and dedication.
