Mr Théoneste Hakizimana since 1992 holds a Master’s degree in pure Mathematics, a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning Mathematics in Higher and Secondary educations from the People’s Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) and has been teaching mathematics in higher learning institutions for over 29 years.His research interests lie in differential geometry of quasi groups and webs, and STEM Education in which he has published several papers.

Currently, he is an Assistant Lecturer and coordinating Mathematics at the University of Rwanda, College of Education and a member of the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning of Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS) at the UR-CE.
