Mr. Katongole Sam Mwizerwa was born in 1975.He is a Teacher by profession and qualification. He attended Katikamu SDA Primary School where he sat his PLE in 1988 and then joined Katikamu S.S.S for his Ordinary level which he completed in 1992. He later joinedAlliance High school for his Advanced level that he sat in 1996 and in the same year, he joined National Teacher’s College, Mubende for his diploma in Education Secondary Level, which he accomplished in 1998. He joined Makerere University Kampala (MUK) for BED (Bachelors of Education degree majoring in Teaching History and Religious Studies. He did a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management in Education which he obtained from Uganda Christian University Mukono, Uganda in 2014.He is also pursuing a PhD by research from UR-CE with bias in Staff development and Teachers effectiveness in Secondary Schools in Rwanda.
Besides, he has done several certificates such as Financial Management for Head teachers and Bursars, Certificate in Paralegal Affairs, Post Graduate Certificate of Teaching & Learning in Higher Institutions of Learning(PGCTLHIL), Peace & Values Education to mention but a few.
He has taught in and headed several secondary schools,worked with several NGOsin Uganda and Rwanda, offered consultancy to several Secondary and Primary Schools, worked with Education partners like VVOB, Edify Rwanda, AMIR and ADRA- Rwanda. Currently he is working with the University of Rwanda an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Foundations, Management&Curriculum Studies(FMCS), with teaching Modules of ; Educational Psychology, Inclusive education and LearnerFriendly School Practices, School Guidance and Counseling and Fundamental Life Skills for Teachers.
