Gabriel Bazimaziki is a Rwandan by nationality, holds Bachelor of English(B.A) obtained in 2006 from National University of Rwanda ; a Master of Education in English Language and Literature from Kampala University/ Uganda obtained in 2014 ; and a Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCLTHE) obtained in 2017 from University of Rwanda. He is now doing PhD in Language Education. Before he joined University of Rwanda in 2013, Gabriel had taught English language in several secondary schools including without limitation to Kidaho Secondary School, Petit Seminaire Saint Jean Nkumba and G.S. Kinoni.

Since 2013, he has been serving University of Rwanda as an Assistant Lecturer of English and Literature and has taught the same subjects in Mount Kenya University. He has immensely published in his areas of interest such as Literature, Literature education, English language education, Socio-linguistics. He has 30 publications, both individual and coauthored journal articles, one book chapter and an edited book.

Due to an outstanding performance in teaching and research, he was promoted to the position of Lecturer since July 2018.
