Innocente Uwineza holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instructions. Her education background and work experience have been in education field from primary and high school to University teaching. Since 2008 to date she is an academic employee of the University of Rwanda College of Education (UR- CE)in the field of mathematics Education where she teaches modules in mathematics education stream. Moreover, she is a PhD student at UR- CE and her area of research interest includes gender and ICT components in mathematics education. In her PhD project Uwineza is interested in finding out the role of Interactive mathematics (IM) software, as an ICT tool, to support the effective implementation of competence based curriculum in mathematics in primary school as well as to find out its influence on learners’ numeracy performance.
