Incoming and outgoing Campus Administrators formally hand over responsibilities under the supervision of Prof Florien Nsanganwimana.

Following a handover ceremony at the University of Rwanda College of Education, Rukara Campus, the incoming Campus Administrator, Mrs Immaculate Mukamuhizi, has reaffirmed her commitment to effective and responsive campus administration.

Taking over her new responsibilities, Mrs Mukamuhizi expressed appreciation for the trust placed in her and underscored her readiness to build on the progress already achieved. She highlighted the importance of continuity while embracing practical improvements to enhance efficiency in campus operations.

In her remarks, she emphasized teamwork, transparency and open communication as key pillars of her leadership approach. She noted that strong collaboration among staff and active engagement with students will be essential in fostering a supportive and productive campus environment.

“This transition is an opportunity to build on the strong foundation already in place while working closely with staff and students to improve service delivery and campus life,” she said.

In his remarks, the Principal, Prof Florien Nsanganwimana, emphasized that the leadership interchange reflects a strategic approach to strengthening campus administration through experience sharing and continuity. He called on the incoming administrators to remain results oriented, uphold accountability and work closely with their teams to enhance service delivery and support the College’s academic mission.

“This interchange is meant to strengthen our campuses through shared experience and continuity. We expect both leaders to build on what has been achieved and further improve service delivery,” he noted.

Speaking briefly, the outgoing Campus Administrator at Rukara Campus, Mr Salomon Nshimiyimana, expressed appreciation for the collaboration and support he received during his tenure and reaffirmed his commitment to continue serving diligently as he takes up his assignment at UR Nyagatare Campus.

Mrs Mukamuhizi also stressed the importance of listening to stakeholders and maintaining trust through inclusive and accountable administrative practices. Her message reflects a forward-looking approach focused on strengthening service delivery and supporting the academic mission of the College.

Her appointment follows a leadership interchange between Rukara and Nyagatare campuses, a move aimed at promoting experience sharing and reinforcing institutional capacity across the University of Rwanda-College of Education.
