An exciting public talk under the “Iga Nta Stress” campaign was held on 6 May 2026 at UR Rukara Campus, aiming to encourage young people to explore flexible learning and digital opportunities. Organized by the University of Rwanda – College of Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth (MoYA) and Arts and ALX Rwanda, the event brought together students, Ministry officials, and ALX staff for discussions on career guidance, digital skills, and opportunities available in today’s changing job market.

Held under the theme “Student Mobilisation and Sound System Support,” the public talk forms part of ongoing efforts to support Rwanda’s youth empowerment agenda by strengthening both theoretical and practical skills among young people. The discussions focused on preparing youth to remain competitive in an economy that is increasingly shaped by technology and innovation.

During the interactive session, students engaged directly with representatives from the Ministry and ALX Rwanda, who shared insights into career development and the growing importance of digital competencies. Participants explored opportunities in fields such as software engineering, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics, which continue to create new career pathways for young people across Africa and beyond.

For many students, the session served as both a motivational experience and a practical guide to understanding how digital skills can open doors to future careers. The engagement also reflected the growing interest among university students in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology driven opportunities.
