Dr Valentin Uwizeyimana is a Lecturer and a Kinyarwanda Programme Coordinator in the Department of Humanities and Language Education at the University of Rwanda – College of Education in Rwanda. He is a Research Associate at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of South Africa in South Africa, and a Visiting Research Fellow at Technische Universität Chemnitz in Germany (cf. link : https://www.tu-chemnitz.de/phil/english/sections/ling/Staff_ELL/Valentin_Uwizeyimana.php).

Amongst other academic qualifications, Dr Valentin Uwizeyimana holds a PhD and a Masters Cum Laude in Technology for Language Learning, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Second Language Studies, all obtained from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. For more than a decade, Dr Valentin Uwizeyimana has been involved in academia, and has secured various administrative and academic positions in Rwanda and abroad. Dr Valentin Uwizeyimana is listed in the African Scientists Directory (cf. link : http://africanscientists.africa/business-directory/uwizeyimana/), and he is a Fellow of the Pan-African Scientific Research Council (PASRC). He is a member of Golden Key International Honour Society (cf. link : https://www.goldenkey.org/), the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) (cf. link : https://www.iatefl.org/), and the International TESOL Union (cf. link : https://www.tesolunion.org/) amongst other academic organisations.

Dr Valentin Uwizeyimana is a global citizen, and he is a travel, diplomacy, information ethics and intercultural communication enthusiast. Among his research interests are foreign and second language studies, language policy, language planning and management, technology for language learning (computer-assisted language learning, mobile-assisted language learning), and the use of emerging technologies in education.
