Academic and Professional Background :
Mr. Munyabugingo Valens is an Assistant Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Rwanda, College of Education, School of Education, in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Physical Education. He joined the University of Rwanda on June 19, 2023.
Previously, Mr. Munyabugingo served as an Assistant Lecturer in Mathematics at Rwanda Polytechnic - IPRC Ngoma from March 1, 2019, to June 19, 2023. During his tenure there, he also held the role of Research Coordinator and contributed as a member of the research group for the Biogas Monitoring System project, funded by the National Council for Science and Technology (NCST). Additionally, he taught mathematics in various secondary schools and higher learning institutions, including PIASS and UTAB.
Mr. Munyabugingo holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics, specializing in Statistical Modeling and Actuarial Sciences, from the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology, which he completed in 2018. Since 2020, he has been pursuing a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology.
Research Interests and Activities :
Mr. Munyabugingo specializes in applied mathematics, with a focus on the asymptotic analysis of partial differential equations and their numerical simulations. Since 2021, he has been an active member of the International Program for Mathematics Science - Partial Differential Equations and Applications (IPMS-PDEAAP) research group.
He has also participated in international summer schools, including one on Modern Functional Analysis in Kenya (2017) and another on Concrete Topics in Mathematics in Rwanda (2022).
