Biography
Dr. Innocent Muhire is an Associate Professor holding a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Johannesburg and a Master’s in Geography from Bangalore University. With 20 years of extensive working experience, he has developed expertise in training and capacity building at various scales, delivering both short- and long-term training to diverse audiences.

Dr. Muhire is highly skilled in program advisory, project implementation planning, and consultancy services, particularly in natural resources management, environmental science, climate change adaptation and mitigation, GIS, and related fields.

He is also an accomplished author, with 18 scientific papers published in national and international journals, alongside several books and consultancy reports. Dr. Muhire has participated in four research grants and has notable international and national experience in the fields of environmental science and education.

Additionally, Dr. Muhire has over two decades of involvement in Rwanda’s secondary and tertiary education systems, further solidifying his contributions to academic and practical knowledge dissemination.
