ACADEMIC PROFILE OF MR.ALBERT NGIRUWONSANGA

Mr. Albert NGIRUWONSANGA is an Assistant Lecturer of Computer Science at University of Rwanda-College of Education. He joined UR-CE community in 2011 and he holds a Master of Science in Information Technology (MSc.IT) degree from the University of Madras, Tamil Nadu, India. He also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCLTHE) from the University of Rwanda. He has undergone numerous short courses and MOOCs on Blended Learning Practice, Learning to Learn Online, Technology-Enabled Learning from the Commonwealth of Learning and Athabasca University, Canada.

His duties include teaching, research and consultancy, academic administration and the community outreach.His research interests include Data Science applied in Education, STEM Education and Blended Learning. He is currently doing research on “adjustment process to the blended Mode of learning during COVID 19”. Mr. Albert is a member of a team of Early Carrier Researchers currently being mentored by the University of Bristol under Afrika Mashariki Academic Mentoring Programme.

Mr. Albert is an Academic Associate Member of theAfrican Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS). He is also a member of a team that is implementing the “Rwanda Quality Basic Education for Human Capital Development sub-component 1.2” project. In addition, he works as a consultant for VVOB-Rwanda in CPD for STEM programme intended for secondary school subject leaders.
